Visa requirements & Letter of invitation

You should check the website https://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/en/coming-to-france/ if a passport is sufficient or a visa is required for travelling to France.

If a visa is required, you must apply for a visa to the French Consulate of your country of residence. You will also need a valid passport. The French Consulate may ask documents showing where you will stay, return air tickets, a personal letter of invitation, or others. You may also be asked to show proof of having enough financial resources to support yourself during your stay in France. Since conditions may vary, we recommend to contact your local French Consulate for more information on current requirements. More details can be found on the website https://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/en/coming-to-france/.
